Munster Minor Swimming Championships
The Munster Minor Swimming Championships will be held at UL Arena in Limerick on Sunday 15th October.
We are departing from the postal entry system that was used previously and will be using an online form that can be used on behalf of each individual swimmer to select events; enter personal details; and make payment. We are hoping that this will streamline the entry process.
Our tentative timeline is:
week ending 15 Sept - Issue email to all schools with link to allow entry to the Schools Championships

Sept - Closing date for entries
2/3 October - Issue to each school the entries received from their pupils for review and correction
6 Oct - Schools advise of any corrections
The Minor age groups (based on the swimmers age as of 31.08.2024) are :
Age Group 9 - born 1 September 2014 - 31 August 2015
Age Group 10 - born 1 September 2013 - 31 August 2014
Age Group 11 - born 1 September 2012 - 31 August 2013
Age Group 12 - born 1 September 2011 - 31 August 2012
Swimmers will be able to enter 2 individual events from 50m Freestyle; 50m Backstroke; 50m Breaststroke; 50m Butterfly; and, 100m Individual Medley.
There will also be 200m (4 x 50m) relay races - medley and freestyle - for girls and for boys
