Swim Ireland Club Affiliation

As we are about to enter a new season, the Swim Ireland Clubs and Community team want to take this opportunity to reflect and show appreciation to club members for another jam-packed season in the water.

Thank you to the club coaches, teachers, committees, and volunteers who have worked more diligently than ever as we continue to re-build, engage with club members, negotiate plans with facilities and initiate new initiatives to keep members active and returning to the water year on year.

The 2023/2024 season promises to bring new challenges and opportunities for Swim Ireland, our clubs, and members.  They continue to work closely with Sport Ireland, Ireland Active and other key stakeholders so we can ensure our sport is as vibrant, exciting, and engaging as it has been in previous years.  We will continue to offer a wide range of supports and resources to our clubs and members in the months ahead. 

Swim Ireland have begun preparations for the 2023/2024 season and are currently focusing on the affiliation process and assisting clubs in relation to their planning. Clubs will complete the affiliation process through the membership database. The club administrator will access the club profile through their individual login.

As part of the affiliation process, all assigned roles in the database are removed annually on 1^st September EXCEPT for club admins. This will help clubs to ensure they are appointing and operating with appropriately trained people in required roles. Remember that once you have affiliated and paid for your members, you must go back and assign the appropriate role(s) to paid members. These roles include, but are not limited to, Team Managers, Officials, Coaches, Teachers and additional CCO’s.
