Munster swimmers competing abroad

We want to wish the best of luck to all the athletes who will represent Munster over the weekend in Swansea and Sheffield. A group of 25 athletes from the Munster Regional Development Programme will fly to Wales today to take part in the Swansea Aquatic Spring Meet. One athlete, Ella Carroll, a member of the Regional Pathway Programme, will also wear the red hat for Munster at the Premier Open Meet, where she will participate alongside another group of nationally selected athletes.

The next weekend will be busy for our swimmers and Clubs, as other Munster swimmers and members of the National Programme will also travel to Sheffield and Edinburgh for international competitions.

"It is an important moment for our young athletes - declares Carlo Boni, Munster DPDC - these competitions are a decisive stage in the growth of our swimmers, they allow us to explore a different context than the usual competition environment, promote awareness and autonomy, at a time of the season when they are preparing for the main events of the summer. It's an opportunity for growth and learning."
